Animated atmospheres

The forecast changes the scene.

Metal-rendered skies respond to clear weather, cloud, rain, storms, snow, and night. Even the sun and meteors follow the time and place.

Good to know

The practical details.

How do I get Oscar?+

Join the public beta through TestFlight on a device running iOS 26 or newer. Oscar is still in active development and is not yet intended for production-critical use.

Where does the weather data come from?+

Global forecasts and air quality come primarily from Open-Meteo, which selects from national services including DWD, ECMWF, NOAA, and Météo-France. BrightSky, DWD, RainViewer, and Environment Canada provide specialized radar and alert data.

Does every feature work everywhere?+

Forecasts, air quality, environment data, and global radar have broad worldwide coverage. Pollen is Europe-only; enhanced rain detail and push alerts focus on Germany and Central Europe; live official alerts currently cover Germany and Canada.

Can I contribute?+

Yes. Bug fixes, features, and refinements are welcome through GitHub pull requests. For larger ideas, start with an issue so the direction can be discussed first.
